So anyone else thought this was an actual game?
I mean it's got achievements, trading cards, DLC, was downloaded to my game library. I honestly thought "The Movie" was just an ironic title and this was basically like Game Dev Story with live actors.

Luckily I got this as part of a Humble Bundle which came with actual games so I'm not really upset or anything. But this was definitely a WTF surprise, anyone else make that mistake too? XD

No, I knew it was a movie.
and a good one at that.

Now, I'm thinking that, since you got it in the bundle, you weren't really set on getting this, and didn't research it at all. But I really hope you at least put a couple seconds of your decision-making period with other games to at least confirm what they are.

wait til you accidentally buy one of the humble book bundles

Well, there is a game inside of it. On the main screen click on the controller that is hanging from the power lines to play it.

There are games that have "movie" in the title. Just because all of you knew what you were buying ahead of time doesn't mean all of us will because it was some random thing in a pile of games.
Kapot Feb 15 @ 10:59pm
Not really. If you read anything other than the title it's pretty clear it's not a game.
Sorry, but I think you're alone, mate.

Sure. But they certainly won't have "One of the top-rated movies of 2012. 93% RT Score" right at the top of the store page.

I got this from a humble bundle, no store page, all I saw was a tiny little icon sitting in the middle of a bunch of other tiny icons. And the half paragraph description for this thing was "follow game developers as they blah blah blah." Sounded like another generic sim.

I get it some of you people bought this thing because you wanted it, obviously you'd know what it was ahead of time. Some of us just got this as bonus content to things we actually wanted, so clearly we're not gonna know what it is until we run it, which is why this was a surprise.

So you're complaining about getting a movie that you thought would be a game, after doing absolutely no research, not even wanting the movie, and only getting it because it was bundled with what you actually wanted? And on top of that, you only read the first sentence of the description you were given?

I'm not really complaining I just found it an interesting surprise that there was a movie being installed into my games folder. I just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.
Shadowspaz Feb 16 @ 12:27pm
And no one has. :P
greenraven22 Feb 16 @ 12:38pm
Apparently not no. XD

I just did a quick internet search on what that bundle had: Dungeon Defenders /w all DLC and Binding Of Isaac. That's what I paid for basically, all the other games were just bonus content.
Shadowspaz Feb 16 @ 12:39pm
I need to go back to Binding of Isaac. Such a good game. But damn, challenge 10 kills my motivation. lol
greenraven22 Feb 16 @ 12:41pm
Snapshot also seemed interesting from the half hour that I played it for. I should probably give it another go soon.
kn00tcn Feb 19 @ 2:06pm
if you wwanted binding of isaac, wouldnt it be a great idea to watch the movie & its extras? (if i have to spell it out... edmund designed super meeat boy & binding of isaac)

i take it you were given a single key to add to steam?

but anyway, in general, how can you not at the minimum select the text>right click>google that every browser has nowadays

if you dont follow the industtry, you can easily stumble upon a game in a bundle that you really like
