Incorrect pricing....?

Ok, so the Steam pop up window for deals/features says that the bundle is $2.49. The whole bundle, not just the movie. I was about ready to buy because I have about that much in my steam wallet, the movie looks interesting, and I've been wanting Super Meat Boy. But when you go to the buy page, the bundle is actually $9.99.

Is this a mistake on the buy page or a mistake on the pop up ad?

I'm fairly sure that was a mistake in the ad. I thought the 9.99 was a good deal, then AFTER that I saw the 2.49 ad. Here's the thing, check the sale prices for each game by itself. Each of them is priced around 2.49 this week, which is still a nice deal for the games they are (Fez, Super Meat Boy, etc).

Add all those up and throw in a movie (that had production costs) and there's really no way they could possibly sell it for 2.49 and hope to make any kind of money.

Reportedly the regular price of the bundle is something like 39.99. It's a movie and a few $5-15 games.

Definitely still a great deal at $9.99, I'll agree. I haven't played FEZ yet, but I have a key from another bundle a while back, and I've heard great things about Super Meat Boy. Braid's supposed to be good too, but doesn't personally interest me. Annnyyyway.. still disappointing because I just don't have that much to spend. I wish Steam had Walmart's policy of honoring incorrect pricetags.

Per the game store for this movie right now as I'm posting this:

The movie (and just the movie) is $2.49 right now. The movie with special addition features (another hundred minutes or so of follow ups/updates as well as other developers who I guess didn't make the cut like the big three (or five if you're counting people) who were featured did.

It's the movie's special edition with the software bundle that is $9.99. Includes Fez, Super Meat Boy and Braid. Three great games I'd have been happy to pay $10 just for two of (and even gladder to get three of!). Tack on a really interesting documentary on the industry? Cooler still. I got a sweet deal, I'm not the least perturbed. Only way it would be better would be if Fez had cards so I could score an emoticon with a fez.
