This game should be so much better
It is 2012, and this thing should be DLC, not a full fledged game, $10 or not.
I'm seriously worried about the franchise because just releasing this literally brings the name down enough to make me consider not buying Hell & Damnation.
I can't be the only one that finds the fact that they thought releasing another uber-hard, lacking-in-level-design a little glaring after 4 tries at it.

A few months ago I read a forum post (on Steam if I'm remembering correctly) where a poster who was allegedly a programmer said thtat the game wasn't very good and didn't recommend buying it. I think that says it all right there: when someone on the development staff flat out tells you that their product isn't worthy of your dollar, you know you're dealing with something truely terrible!

Frankly, I'm glad I didn't fall for buying the latest Painkiller game, like I've done in the past! I've bought every single Painkiller game at launch because Painkiller: Black was so damn good, but each time I've been hugely disappointed. Hell, I even bought Dreamkiller at launch because it looked and sounded so much like Painkiller!

From now on, the only time I'm giving any future Painkiller games (if they even decide to make any more after the last few installments) a try is if the original team behind the first game are back on board. No more poorly made fan expansions or entries by unknown dev teams. It's either People Can Fly at the helm or nothing!

I understand that it's going back to roots but several bad expansion packs later I'm STILL SKETPICAL. I don't even know wether to buy the REBOOT!

Yea, everything after the very first game was admittedly very inferior crap products. No reason to believe this is anything better.
You know Duke Nukem was purchased by 2K and developed by Gearbox (I think)? Gearbox is a good company, but Duke Nukem was still considered a crappy game. Now I actually liked it. But this is only more reason to suspect this will be crap.

That doesn't help Recurring Evil though.
