Windows 10
Ever since i upgraded to windows 10 3 moths ago, i havent been able to run it. any reason why? On start up it just says preparing to start Saints row 4 and then the window disappears and comes back.

I just get a black screen after the amd logo don't really know what to do about that but honestly this is a deepsilver game. This crap is to be expected.

Try verifying game cache integrity.

Can't speak for pidgeon but both a verify and uninstall/reinstall didn't fix mine.

Is the game installed in the same drive as steam?

Just noticed that on the pinned thread moved it and it's working fine. Why their games have so many issues with every little thing I don't know.

I'm having the same problem. Just installed it on Windows 10. Wont even open. Installs all the services through epic, when finished steam logo will say playing for a few seconds until it changes back to start. if i hit start it attempts and says play and right back at start again. Something needs to be updated so it works properly in Windows 10.

BUT!!! Its not acceptable for steam to force us to upgrade platforms without ensuring a way all previously bought content will continue to function properly.

Works fine on Win 10/Win 11 for me ....
Do you have Legacy Components (DirectPlay) Feature enabled ? (Google it)
Did you try to set it to Win 7 Compatible mode before ?
You dont need to have the game installed in C nor in steam folder it can be any HDD.
After a windows install just need to verify the game and will work fine well least for me.
