Display Driver Error

I try to play the game but it keeps stop working and I sometimes get the message "Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered". When I try to go to my Steam folder and run it as admin, I get a "Steam needs to be running" message and Steam is already up.

Hmm. I'd verify the game cache to see if it's not missing a file somewhere. If that doesn't work, I'd consider reinstalling steam and the game as sometimes it's an issue of some file getting corrupted on either the game or the steam engine itself. Running as admin usually causes more problems on steam than it solves though.

Also, to be honest, this game does have some occasional problems with crashing if you remove a controller while playing or switch to some programs while playing (mine crashes 100% of the time if you close FRAPS entirely while playing).
