Speculations about the game's future
Hey, I've been playing this game for about 2-3 days now, and I have to say that I'm impressed! It's a very addictive shooter and I am already loving it. But I read here that the game's official support has seized? Is that true? The game is no longer supported? Would Steam keep it up as a legitimate download if there was absolutely no support? And what can be estamated about the future of the game, would anyone kind of take care of the servers as they are, or it will just shut down completely at one point?

I just arrived and it would be a shame to have to stop playing.

Yes steam will keep it up as long as Warner Brothers Games want it to be or as long as people can still play it.

I was a very active member on the official forums when I played on XBL (just started on PC because I love it that much lol). The basics are this: They screwed up DLC releases, and released them too early to make up for it. As a cheap/F2P game they haven't planned to keep it up as long as, say, a CoD game, but it's done pretty well for itself (7th most DLed game on XBL last year). It is true, however, that there will be no more patches or DLC coming (all but directly stated by Skarr on official forums).

As long as people keep jumping in to play it, and others continue to play, it should go on for another year at least (complete guessing there, but historically seems right). As far as a sequel, it will all come down to licensing in the end, as it had a very good reception for a basic game, but continuing with Batman licensing makes it hard in legal terms. I'm hoping that they are able to continue with at least a spiritual successor, as this game has blown me away with the sheer fun.

:::edit::: Anyone interested in the game, stop by the official forums and check it out, there were some PC groups at one point that got together to play modes outside of TDM, and it always helps to have more support for a sequel on there.

If you arnt even getting into death match then you need to change your download + cloud region. To do this open steam and press the steam menue button then go down to settings then click the download +cloud tab. you sould then see download region and change that setting.

This problem iseems to be poping up more and more so i fear they are designating less bandwith for the matchmaking of this game. If that is the case i wouldn't be suprised if they dropped it in a year give or take a few months.

game is already dead for about a year now. Server will still be up, but there will be no update, no fix, no anything. You will have to play with the disconnection and dead auto matchmaking and lagg until the game is finally shut down. The server in game is not host by the actual server, but its host by a host. If i were the host of the gameplay i can lagg every body if i want to or make everybodys ping green with good connection. the server does not host the game.
