Why the game is laggy?

I got a nice PC,but the game still lagging or with low fps sometimes....example:i can run Team Fortress 2,Max Payne 3 and others game on Max Settings!

Mano, o lag n é de gráficos, e sim de net "PING!". Eu tbm tenho lag! Tipo, umas travada mt doida... mais n é sempre, é tipo, qnd meu ping ta alto. Eu jogo ele ah 190 fps deboa!

You're not alone man! I've been playing gotham for awhile now, it's not your computer by any means, because it does this to everybody...I built my computer couple months ago right at $1398 and no reason i should lag on any game.....But surre enough i do on this one game that i actually happen to love lol....But just know that your not alone.

TeamFortress 2 uses less memory then gotham city impostors.But this happends to me asswell.I play games that use alot more memory than this game and they dont lag.This happends to me asswell.But just dont play on maximum video settings (like me) and it shouldnt lag anymore :)

Just have to read lazzygamer post about lags and thats it. If every body put internet conection on 1.5 Mbs then it will be ok

You're not alone man! Mine works perfectly fine. I got an i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz Processor w/ Nvidia GT750 SLI and 8GB of Ram. I'm sure lag happens to a fair amount of people, but it's not the game; it's something in the computer that you have.

Well, if it runs fine for the most part, but lags in-game every now and again in large spikes, it's probably because someone is running a lag switch. This game is meant to be enjoyable and silly, but when 30% of the community would rather use lag switches they didn't even properly install than play things get... not good.

You cannot help, if host is a stupid cheater and uses lag switch (anyone who is using it is a cheater POS anyway).

the more friends you have on your account, the slower the game goes. for some reason, GCI wants to contact steam every second, so that data is what causes people to lag. for this very reason, people make new accounts strictly for this game.

No lags for me, and for sure my account is full of friends.
