Gunpoint is going to be in a Humble Bundle eventually
Every popular indie game ends up in a Humble Bundle. If the arrogant jerk Phil Fish can allow his game to be in a Humble Bundle then every indie game has that chance.

Something tells me that Gunpoint is coming as a bonus game in this HIB9.

Maybe, maybe not. What's your point?

Good news if it is, for those of us not of the Windows persuasion.

My point is hold off on paying the five beans when you might be able to get it for one dollar.

I think Humble Bundle and all this bundles are killing indie development more than it will help it. The ones that really are profiting from this without minimal work are the bundles organizers.

Indie developers are too desperate to sell anything that they don't think about the future of indie development. It is insane that people already think that 5$ is too much for a great game due to the bundles.

What are you talking, man?
There's a ton of things that need to be done for a bundle works. Receiving payments isn't free, hosting isn't too and transfering money isn't even a bit free. The same for people that work on support or updating DRM-free games. Generating Steam keys isn't free also.

Also the point of bundles are giving money to charity. Receiving money from a bundle as a developer is only a form of "thanks" for helping a cause.

If it's not a BTA game which it probably would be based on the fact that it was just recently released. Most of the "one dollar" games are 2+ year old games (or games that have been in other bundles or dirt cheap before anyway). Just sayin'.

I will freely admit that I'm waiting until tomorrow to see if this is added to HB9 but if it's not I'll be buying this tomorrow afternoon.

It won't be in HIB9. It'll still be onsale at the current 50% off when the bonuses are announced tomorrow. I get the logic behind the thought as Fez went onsale and then appeared in the bundle shortly afterwards, but Fez was not on sale at Steam at that point (the Steam sale was over by then).

I agree with the OP that it will be a bundle game eventually, but I'd be really surprised if it was tomorrow since it will still be onsale.

Or you can buy it now, play it now, and at the same time reward the developer for their efforts.

FYI humble bundle is pwyw, not pay $1.
Those with a conscience pay a reasonable sum.

If you really want to play the game for nothing, you might as well pirate it.

FWIW, I think this game is great in just about every way and deserving of the full price, not to mention the sale price. I would love for the developer of this game to make games of similar quality and was happy to support that, even though that meant I couldn't buy other games on my wishlist. It's just that good.

Yeah, be one of those "5 bucks is too much for me. Better to wait for something that I'm not too sure is going to happen." Dude, you aren't putting your money on stocks or a car. It is a game. I'm one of those who will take a deal if I see one. I'm not going to wait for something (get the game in a bundle) for months just to "prove" my point.

I know. It's horrible having to pay so little. /wrists

Only a masochist would complain about not paying enough. Turns out if they couldn't afford to sell their game for a dollar....they wouldn't.

I think the real benefit you are overlooking is the exposure they get from humblebundle that they would definately not see if stayed out of it. People bought bundles including game that they normally would have never thought to play, but with very little monetary risk and just a small amount of time they may find they love the game and look for more games from that developer or at least that genre.

I also think the sheer number of bundles sold makes up any loss from the lower prices.

You aren't seriously promoting piracy on the steam forums are you?

Nahhhh regardless what people say, I wait. This will be either 75% off or bundled in some point in the future. It makes no sense for me to fork 5 dollars for an indie - been burned by bundles recently. Fez was 5, and a few weeks later it is bundled at 5. GG.

Not to mention I paid 7 for Sacred 2, and it was Humble Bundled as well. lol.

Waiting is a wise choice.

Well then, if it's DRM-Free I'd buy it again. :)

Edit: I just bought it again so, I could get my DRM-Free copy. Wish I would've checked the Humble Store first. Oh well, It's worth it! Here's the link if anyone want's it... https://www.humblebundle.com/store/product/gunpoint?preview=djS894h2nS

At any rate, the dev confirmed its not in any planned bundle. I bet its bundled in the future as well, but no time soon
