Using Windows Magnifier as a scaler
I have a 2560×1440 display and all the objects in the game look really tiny at this res. Setting the game to a lower resolution (like 1280×720) doesn’t really help too: everything starts to look blurry, hardware scaling is not that great for pixel art. If you have the same problem, try this:

  • run the game in a windowed mode in low res (1280×720)
  • press Win + Plus
  • press a button with the cog for “Options” in the little window that popped up
  • put a checkmark on “Follow the keyboard focus“, remove the checkmark from “Follow the mouse pointer” (You’ll have to do this only once)
  • minimize the Magnifier window.

Result: the game looks sharp and “pixely” at 1280×720 and uses the whole screen. I didn’t notice any slowdown.

Oh wow, i gotta try this.

But i still believe he should implement this into the current game. Because it is a huge problem when people on huge monitors gets an inferior experience. and having the dude only be ½cm tall, all the hard work with the art style just goes to waste, when you can barely see it.

Update: There’s a better way to launch the Magnifier in 200% mode at any time. Just press Win + Plus.

Yeah i also agree developer needs to scale game better when using higher resolutions, so it doesn't look so tiny with bigger monitor's. I'm using a 40 inch Samsung Tv monitor, and it's hard on the eyes at times using 1920X1080.
