A lot of games do this and you must add your own.

Right click on the desktop shortcut icon, click on properties and click "change"

Select "Browse" and go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Gunpoint (you might not have Valve in there. Mine is there all the way from my first HAlf Life install I think. Most people just have Steam as the folder and no Valve folder.)

Then select the Gunpoint.exe and open. Selct that and click APPLY.

Done.

You can also do it from your Steam library. Right click on the game in library and there is an option to creat shortcut.
