People vs Achievements
I had a look at the achievements of this game, and read the following from the global stats:
10% of the people with the game have not ever started it (Sense the rythm achievement)
20% of the people with the game have not played through the intro (New mates achievement)
90% of the people with the game have not played the tutorial (Learn to skate achievement)
Surely there are things wrongs with the achievements. Or is it the people?

A bit of Column A, a bit of Column B, and a bit of Column C; There are likely a lot of people that bought it for nostalgia, just because they want to own it, even though they won't really play it because they already beat it a thousand million times on the DC.
Plus a lot of people skip the tutorial because it's a separate section of the main menu instead of part of the main game.

Honestly, the "tutorial" is not a tutorial. I just finished the game and still can't finish the tutorial.

Oh, my gosh yes. It took me ages to beat the tutorial when I had it on DC. Turns out "freestyle skating" means pleasantly rolling around the block a bit. Who knew.

I now understand why people have difficulties with the tutorial. I believe JSRF has a dedicated button for the last technique.

Lots of dumb people buy games just to have them and never play them on steam or have huge backlogs lying around while still buying more games.

While you were posting this you may not have noticed, but JSR also went on sale as well. So uh, that's something you forgot to take into consideration.

I just bought this due to the sale and would love to be playing it, but I and many others, including a friend of mine, are getting an appcrash at the loading screen seconds after starting it up. Appears to be a problem that only people using cracked versions of the game were getting previously. So, this could account for a bit of that.

Indeed, same as 2_Mello... I can't play it, have been whining for weeks after Sega and Steam. So please don't write that people are dumb and don't make us drool, just enjoy it silently ;p

THERE IS A GOOD REASON FOR THIS. Most people crumple before the might of it asking for 50 tricks, more less the near end challanges. It's less a 'tutorial' and more a bragging rights reward.

Only 10%?, I usually buy games while on offer and then I play them whenever I feel like it. It can take me months until I play a game for the first time. Also this is a game a lot of people will buy only for nostalgia, to have it in their collections.

>20% of the people with the game have not played through the intro (New mates achievement)

I can't find any achievement like that, either the name or the description.

>90% of the people with the game have not played the tutorial (Learn to skate achievement)

It took me an hour to complete the tutorial (never played the original). It's quite hard. I can understand why so many people didn't complete it and why there's an achievement to finish the tutorial.
