Windows 7 64-Bit
Unfortunatly, I have never been able to play this port. The game crashes immediatly on loading (I get a quick shot of DJ K's head) and after seeing nobody else seems to have gotten around this I got to thinking, has anybody actually played this in Windows 7 64bit?

It just seems that so many people that have this problem have posted their specs and it seems to be a recurring thing. With Sega extremely unlikely to ever patch this, if the problem was known, it may be fixed.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and I've never had a problem (aside from forcing the game to use my video card). Are you, by chance, using an Optimus setup?

Good luck getting Sega to fix this, seeing as they haven't even fixed Sonic Generations.

Yo Ell678 (nice avatar, reminds me of old Sonic 3 times)

Yes, it works on W7 64b. I can tell you so for 2 reasons:

First, people like our nice sir Crowley here told us it does. 1 reason to believe them :)

Second: Sega told me their own W7 64b PCs could run the game. They told me so in the ticket I had for a week with them, until they would not answer anymore because they probably are out of ideas - I think, or maybe they think I'll forget it...

Note : as Crowley smartly suggested, it could be indeed related to the dual graphic cards setup, because though my Nvidia card does actually launch the game (mentioned in the Nvidia Activity Tool), yet Sega seems to think this is not enough and that the Nvidia card should be the main one and even be recognized by dxdiag (which is impossible, at least on my Asus laptop, but for some who can find the option in their bios it seems possible - well lucky them).

I still consider we should deserve a patch. Steam may end up refund us in the end but I so wish not for that but for being able to play the game :(
Well i have the duo grapich card in my laptop and i could run the game just fine, also i have win7. I hope that they can fix for you guys to play ^^

Hey thanks VL, thats nice info and nice cheering from you. Could you possibly write down here your config specs, or even PM me your dxdiag? Like that I could send it back to Sega to up them a bit and they could compare. Keep us in touch, cheers.

Yo Brendover, may I suggest you to try Sega support? I had a mail exchange with a nice guy over there for a few days, they're really fast, and maybe they could find a solution for you that could help the others? Plus, even if they don't, it will show them even more that many customers still can't play...

Just to put it out there, Sega support asked me for a dxdiag log when I contacted them about the Xbox 360 version of the DC collection disk refusing to run :/

Ahah you're right that sounds dumb... maybe you got the wrong guy? ;) But er, I was wondering, could it be that, with the X360 being a Microsoft console working a bit like a cpu inside and all, that maybe you could somehow get a dxdiag out of her? I don't know, random stupid thought ^^ Still should consider the Sega support for adding a ticket to our cause, I think ;)
