On one hand you can give graffiti skill combos more points than % bonuses because its so easy to interrupt you.
But that leaves lesser skilled characters a disadvantage for tagging alot of the map. Because even if you get much of the map, it wouldn't matter because you are constantly harrassing the other player who will easily win if you leave him alone.
It equals out with the steal bonus... ONLY if the higher skilled character never steals tags.
Adding tricks would break the game as ppl using infiniteloops will defeat everyone.
Maybe you can summon cops and rhinos against the other player by spending some of your points? and the cost/tier is dependant on the graffiti skill.
Like a tag battle where teams of three on three try to spam the the tag button 10 times on a opponent like the game?
this would pretty much be the fairest and easiest to balance since character difference is barely noticable.
Sure high technique would move faster on grinds, but thats the point. If you move too fast you'll past slower grinders and won't be able to spam tag.
Though that would all balance out entirely if theres a limiter. Like you can only spam 5 times max (or set it to a lower value decided by the players) before a forced delay is put on the tagger before they can tag the person again (5 second delay?). This way no matches end in mere seconds.
Plus with this mechanic, team work is emphasised as one player might get the delay but a team mate might might jump into finish off the other target.
somebody get sega in on this ♥♥♥♥. or modders.

Not seeing the "mod" part here. VS mode has always been on future.
and talking multiplayer on the first game and the 2nd game is asinine as both are very different games.
linkies or explain?
