Non Xbox 360 controller support
I was wondering if JSR is supports controllers other then the 360 one. I have a cheap logitech knock off that has the exact sane layout and it works with other steam games but not this one. It's not a great controller, should I just get a 360 one?

Try using x360ce.

I would seriously just take the dive and get a 360 controller. It makes life so much easier for modern PC gaming. It's a fine controller and even if it's not your favorite, the hassle-free nature of it (versus hooking up a PS3 controller via bluetooth, another popular option) is well worth it for most.

You can get a wired one and just plug it in (NOT wireless with charge kit), or get a wireless one WITH receiver. For those that already have a wireless one, you just need to get the wireless receiver and sync it to the computer.

Not an option for some. I can't use the 360 controllers. I could go into a two hour discussion why but for the sake of time, medical issues and the shape/size of the 360. I use a Logitech F510 which I can barely use. Sticks in the middle. But it doesn't get recognized properly. Right trigger is escape, a/b are X/A, camera stick doesn't work and neither do the triggers. Simply put, can't play with it. Glad I only paid $2... Ohh, and my controller works on all of my other controller enabled games and I'm pushing 300 in my library. This is the first one I can't get to work with my controller (that I use the controller for anyhow, maybe 10% of my list)...

It's because many games these days (especially the ones on Steam, I noticed) use the XInput API instead of the older DirectInput. However, cheaper or older controllers tend to stick with DirectInput. I find it rather appalling that DirectInput support is so overlooked, but I also understand that progress is necessary.
The answer is simple. Do as Crowley de geso~ (Ika Musume ref?) suggested. Use x360ce. It emulates the XBox 360 controller by wrapping the calls for one API into the other. It'll take a little time to learn how to use it, possibly some trial and error to see which dll file works with which game. Also might need to fiddle around with the settings to get it going properly. But it's highly convenient and works well once set up.

Now, anyone else using x360ce got problems with the graffiti motions? Or am I just not quite getting how to do them?
