Got the game from Humble Bundle. Decided to play it because of its nice, twisted looking atmosphere. I don't regret it one bit.
It is basicly about this individual alien, witnessing the corruption brought upon to his homeworld and star system, affecting all local life by an offworld organic source and decides to travel to system's sun and save his little planet.
Throughout the game you travel in your alien being's signature hovering craft, chapter to chapter each with its distinct atmosphere, find some weapons to fight off all kinds of enemies and try to reach the core of the sun. It includes vast maps with a lot of space to explore filled enemy minions as well as some boss monsters/mechas and really nice puzzles.
By far the best thing about this game has, to me, is each chapter's highly distinctive atmosphere and playstyle. The mechanical level includes a industrial, steampunk, clockwork theme as electrical level creates a feeling of traveling inside a huge dark derelict alien computer machine.
If you like indie games with creative, dark, captivating theme you will never forget this game once you play it. Good job Shadow Planet!
