I can't seem to be able to create a character.
When I start up the game, everything works fine, I select a server - and then I am greeted with the character creation screen. However, I find that - once on this screen none of the buttons work.
If I click on create character nothing happens, if I click on upgrade to gold, once again nothing happens.
Literally no button - once I get onto the character creation screen - does anything.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem and/or if anyone knows a fix. But if you do please post it, I've never played EverQuest before and I don't want to let this stop me from playing it at all.

Ok, figured out my problem. Not sure how I'm going to fix it yet. I got an older notebook I had lying around and loaded it, got a character created, and had a nice nostalgia trip. Decided to go back to my main computer now that a character was created to see if that made a difference. Still can't make any buttons work, but my character is there, and you can load the game if you press enter. The first thing you notice is how jumpy your character is on the character select screen. Once you are in game, you are on super hyper speed. The game is running so fast, it's ridiculous. I think the reason none of the buttons are working is because the events are happening too fast to register the button presses. I'm going to play with the FPS settings and see if I can get it to slow down.
