Linux Version?

Are we going to see a Linux version of this game? I love this game so much, and id hate to have to dual boot to play it again.

will it not work just downloading the version from the everquest website then using pol or another wine based tool to run it ?

This will never happen unfortunately. They did run a separate version of EQ for Mac which did not share the same servers or even content as PC users had and that was sunsetted recently after a long run.

Obviously Proton is the solution, but currently it dosn't work on Proton due to signed DLL's needed and not yet supported.

You are wrong. I'm playing this game daily since years and it works perfectly fine to this day.

I have been playing just fine on a private server with Wine. I was using the steam official version for a while, although last time i tried, i would get kicked out of the game (disconnected) every 5 mins. I haven't tried it since then. Been to busy with New World.
