Your impressions?
I'm sure there's a lot of people who have this game completed already and I want to know what do you think about it.
In my opinion, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is one of the best adventure games of last years, 'cause I can't remember anything that was as exciting as investigating this bishop murder case. To be honest, I was expecting a bit darker narration and that this plot from press releases and trailers would take the main role instead of being some kind of background for another storyline until the last third of the game. But still, I really liked this quest and the story I received. Sherlock Holmes just got a new life in videogames. :3
And oh, sorry for my English.

I just beat it. I loved this game, although I liked SH vs. Jack the Ripper a little more.

I don't think it has any serious similarities with Sherlock Holmes, but still - you should get it if you love good adventures and quest games generally.

Thats true. There is no action in this game. Although I can say that there is one similarity. There was alot of reading in this game. And if I remember correctly, I spent alot of time reading notes and other documents in LA Noire as well. Your best bet would be to go to youtube and watch a little gameplay video to get an idea of what the game is like.

It is a great puzzle based game that isn't entirely a point and click adventure which is a good thing. In some areas you are free to wander around. I enjoyed sherlock holmes and watson, but I wish there was more freedom to explore. Maybe some side quests. I also find it weird that even when Dr. Watson is investagating no evidence is ever collected that turns out to be not important. Get your thinking cap on because there are a zillion puzzles to solve.

Yeah, some free wandering would be nice, for there are some open and, uhm, spacious locations which are not used right in the game - usually you just run through from A to B without proper interaction with surroundings. But anyway, it's not a big deal, 'cause openworld gameplay is not so typical for quest games and it can ruin the narration.
And oh, puzzles are rather pleasurable, even though some of them were quite tricky.

Exactly.
My impressions? I can't believe I paid $40 for a game barely worth half that.

I paid around $15 for it (Russian Steam :p), that's why I'm more than satisfied.

I don't think I've ever felt a desire to be Russian before now. Thanks! :)
