Problem Running this at all
It gets to the loading background then blackscreens twice before crashing.
The really strange thing is that EVERY Steam app I have then starts writing a minidump to my temp directory. This seems to indicate that it's actually clashing with something in the Steam client itself!
Very bizarre behaviour.
This is on XP 32bit (yes, I know I'm a luddite) fully patched, latest everything etc.
AMD Radeon HD6770
Anybody else get this ?

The crushes can happen on computers below the minimum system requirements. And for topic starter problem, you can try to delete everything in the Steam client folder except steam.exe and steamapps folder. Then start steam.exe again and it will re-download everything that need.

PC is well within Spec to run this. The strange thing is the multiple appcompatibility.txt files in my temp directory for every game I have under Steam, not just this one.

So did you try the suggestion i make?

Not yet. I have Steam spread over two drives and I'm not quite sure how it will play if I delete all the other files, regarding still picking up the second drive when I re-run Steam.
Once I can be sure of Steam's behaviour with multiple install drives, I'll give it a go.

Seems to have sorted itself out now but............I always have a problem downloading games!
It must be The Desk Devil that not only steals Pencils and everything else off my desk but constantly crashes my PC!

All part of the 'Joy' of computing :)
Mine's still haywire but I've no doubt that something will patch something over the next few months & it'll magically burst into life.

Never had a problem with game other than power adapter almost over heating because of non-stop play.
