Far too expensive
Same price as Torchlight 2? There are literally hundreds of TD games for free on flashsites that offer nearly the same amount of gameplay, yet with better graphics. I think 9.99 would be the absolute maximum I would pay for a game like this. More likely $5... what justifies this high price?

I think 9.99 would have been fine. I don't think 19.99 is right.

Ironically the day after you post this it goes on sale for $9.99 as the Daily Deal. However, it was $6.79 during the summer sale.

The games fun but the graphics and gameplay don't add up to $20.

Not a $20 game in my opinion. I think maybe the original developer got lazy or sold the rights to the whole gratuitous thingy. This game feels nothing like the original and seems to be lacking in everything that attracted me to the other.

$20. ARE they serious??

The game's great but lacks content. It would need a conquest mode at the very least.

Even $10 is questionable. Space Battles had a few extra things going for it that this doesn't, namely the fleet battles and orders adds a unique (Though arguably fiddly and not entertaining, but that's to taste) reason to want to customize your units to such a degree. Getting the right layout of ship components and fleet orders gave the game more flavor than Tank Battles.

Tank Battles on the other hand plays mostly like a regular tower defense game, only with no redirection of paths and inexplicably customizable towers and soldiers. Do I really have to drop into a unit editing screen to make an anti-infantry turret in both a cheap and expensive variety? What is gained by doing this? All the fine tuning and tweaking in Space Battles wasn't particularly fun (To me) but given the open battlefield, fleet ordering system, and larger variety of weapons and defenses I could see the point. But since Tank Battles mostly just plays like any other tower defense that extra layer of customization just feels like a pain in the ♥♥♥.

Still, I've played worse tower defense games. If you've already got and played a ton of Defense Grid and Revenge of the Titans then you could do worse than Gratuitous Tank Battles*.

*During a large sale.
