Space Battles of Tank Battles?
So, out of Gratuitous Space Battles of Tank Battles, which one do you prefer?
I for one honestly prefer Gratuitous Space Battles. The problem that I have with the GTB is that they have basically made another Tower Defence Game, I was hoping to place Tanks in some of the largest land battles similar in scope to GSB and mirroring the Battle of Raseiniai for example

I prefer GSB, although I dont own it yet. GTB wouldve been better if it was like a huge scale RTS, not a tower defence. GTB Has slightly better visuals tho...

I love both, but it has to be GTB. I just feel like it takes all of the inavation of GSB and makes it way better!

Hy folks , I have GTB and I'd like buy GSB. I love TD , but I think that GTB is good in complexity of armament but too short and poor in number of battle scenarios on board in the game.Do you agree ??

GTB seems to be far too complicated at first. It's frustrating and, as TB puts it, you just feel like you're spamming units and hoping to win. I wish there were much more strategy and less arcade.

I love tower defense so GTB is my favorite. I like the constant interaction and excitement of it whereas GSB is almost entirely set-up-and-watch and have never entirely been drawn into it.

space. tank battles has been a bit of a dissapointment for me - less tactical, less unit building. less amusing tooltips/comments and a lot less content. customisation and attack modes are nice but it basically boils down to spamming units up - there are far better TD games.

I have to say GSB mainly because I can actually play it. GTB slows to a crawl on any computer I play it on or outright crashes fairly early on. GSB I have enjoyed and is a great time killer, but if I have a comp that can run GSB,skyrim, any MMO, ES, Grimrock, and have them all playable at high settings, but freezes in a tower defense...there is an issue.

SPACE.... times infinity plus. Listen, the developer(s) had a good thing going with GSB. It was a fun distraction and a challenge for those times when I just wanted to sit back and think. Putting it in the form of a TD was the biggest mistake ever. I was so looking forward to a simple spin on GSB, like others, that I was utterly let down by the change in format. If I wanted Tower Defense I would have looked elsewhere. I bought the game, even though I disliked the demo, because I wanted to thank the guys who gave me so many hours of relaxed joy with GSB. But, seriously, it feels like somebody else took over and ruined the whole thing.

GTB should have taken its queue from GSB. Give us the option to build units, position them on a battlefield with basic orders, and set them loose... a bit like tabletop miniature battles but without any micro-management... at all. Shame on you guys for letting us down with this TD wannabe. How about a GTB2 that gives us what GTB should have been?

i personally think that theres already so much content for GSB, that making GTB into the same game is just like, a re-skin. the tower defense set up works differently because its a different game, but with complex things like infantry and using trenches and things like that, im not sure how you are supposed to do GTB in any way that isnt just the way it is now, or a cheap re-skin of GSB

ill play GSB when i want GSB, and GTB when i want tower defense, you dont have to play both after all. i think i prefer the innovation in concept rather than just re-making a game i've already payed a lot ofm oney on all the expansions and all.

Personally the biggest disappointment to me is the decrease in customisation, it feels a lot less meaningful and fun to design my own units, you just kind of throw together units without that much consideration, i would have preferred something like, the option to forgo a machine gun on my tank for additional armour or a shield or something like this.

but hey, on the bright side, at least innovation was attempted. i'll cheer the developer who changes sometihng every single time over the ones who release the same game with minor changes every year after year

i like GTB better than GSB. GSB you just line up your units on one side, and then unleash them on the units lined up on the other side, and hope your setup is superior. GTB is more TD sty;e, and I love TD

If you like insane destruction, you'll like GSB more. If your into tower defence, you'll like GTB more.

If this was an RTS then it would be WAAAAY better than GSB.

I really liked GSB and the disappointment I felt on buying this game has never really left me. I like TD and I probably would have been okay with this if I hadn't been expecting something different. My fault, I guess. STill, I could get this for free on a flash game website, but I've bought into an idea that was totally in my own head. Yet I'm not the only one who made that mistake. Really was a poor idea to put the name on it that made it seem like a similar sounding game to GSB. That's what bothers me the most. They should've just given it its own title and put a statement on the page that said, "From the developer(s) of GSB" or something. As it is, I felt tricked into buying it whether it was intended that way or not.

Pretty much this yes. And as far as TD games go - this one's pretty poor.
