Infantry kind of useless?
they seem to die too fast and achieve virtually nothing when you look at average per unit scores, is just me, am i deplying them wrong?

for Defense, the benefit of infantry is they deploy instantly, compared to a turret that requires time to build. Later, you get a shotgun for your infantry that does bonus to internal. so if you deploy them down the line, near the exit, the enemy units that made it past your front line defenses are usually beaten up, and no longer have shield or armor, so the shotgun units mop them up easily. for offense, if you equip them with fast moving, they can draw fire and make it to the exit point faster, i guess

infantry is important on offense due to the sheer number of VPs they earn, but yes, they are annoyingly fragile, this is why I like to take advantage of the adaptive nature of the AI, deploy tanks, truck, and walkers as normal until your supplies are exhausted, then spend whatever you have left on a massive wave of infantry, odds are the AI won't be able ot react fast enough, and you'll make up any VPs you still need

They aern't all that useless, I won a battle using only infantry! just like on the space battles, I won a battle using only fighters.

i found fighters to be way more amazing in GSB because they were just awesome. What kind of infantry set up did you use? (what equipment and such)
