When will Steam be offering refunds on 3DMark 11
Hasn't been working in weeks and there doesn't seem to be any updates or apparent work to fix the problem so when will refunds be available?

There is an issue with 64 bit applications on Steam (not just 3DMark 11) that we are working with Valve to resolve.

What is the problem you are having? If you post on support thread we will probably be able to solve it with you: http://www.futuremark.com/support

3DMark11 64 bit is not currently working in the Steam Beta client. Can you opt out of the beta and tray it in the release version of the STeam client?

I have the same issue and doesnt work in non-beta steam

I want a refund for this crap because while I can run games like Guild Wars 2, Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed 3, and literaly ANY game on the market no matter what at 1920x1080 graphics set to high/ultra smooth as silk, this things tests run garbage 15fps or lower, even if i go to advanced at change to performance mode and change the res there to 1920x1080 and run it. So I basically paid $10 to have a program tell me that my system cant run games above 15fps when I can run any game with the settings I mentioned above at 60+fps. lol. REFUND!~

So let me get this straight; You want a refund for a benchmark program that unfortunately demonstrates that your GTX 660 (non-Ti) is not a very fast gaming card?

Isn't that bit like shooting the messenger?

Even the fastest single-GPU cards (GTX 680, Radeon HD 7970) do not manage more than 40-50fps on Performance preset at 1280x720 in the benchmark tests of 3DMark 11 - this is by design. The only way to accurately measure what the hardware can truly do, and to measure it on all kinds of system, is to push truly harsh amount of things for it to render. 3DMark benchmark tests are not designed to be smooth - they are designed to figure out what your card can do in the most extreme situations.

Um no. Think you might need to read what was written FM_Jarnis. 3DMark 2011 doesnt work since Steam updated their client. I actually have a GT660ti and it's a great gaming card. Far better than the HD7950 in my other machine.

And its magic! as I posted that my 3d Mark now works :)
UL_Jarnis  [desarrollador] 5 FEB 2013 a las 23:06
Yes, Steam just pushed update to the beta client. If you have it (or have used it recently and then tried to opt out), update to the latest Steam beta client and both 3DMark and 3DMark 11 will then work.

You could use a program called:FRAPS.
This program runs with your game and tell you what fps you are getting during play on any game.

use the futuremark version of 3dmark... it is faster!... 3dmark run using the futuremark version (real one...lol) 123718 http://www.3dmark.com/is/230075 and five minutes later ran the
steam version of 3dmark "launch 3dmark" on the same syatem... so i get 80303 (gtx680) http://www.3dmark.com/is/230098

BTW the 3mark "futuremark" demo... is not slower... http://www.3dmark.com/is/5674 and http://www.3dmark.com/is/8620 (approved) both around 125000, using the demo.

how did steam leave the "parking brake on" in the steam version of 3dmark?

Umm......... not sure if you know what the true purpose is behind a benchmark. 3DMark is all about raw number crunching and power, its not a game and nor is intended to run like a game.

This is more of a stress test so obviously you will not see 60fps plus on DX11 Ultra preset, look on 3DMark's website and compare scores. You will find people have spent far more money on hardware than yourself and they also don't get these magic figures that you believed to exist in a 3DMark benchmark.

Hopefully this will give you a little insight

why would anyone buy this it might tell you that you can run a game with 15fps and you know that you can get around 60fps they would tell you thats even better they breaking no law
now if it told you you can run a game and that you can get 60fps, so you go and buy the said game and you only get 10fps or the game won't run because your pc has very low specs then they are breaking the law
these kind of programs can check whats is in your PC your graphics card your cpu your ram
all the programs that you have installed your passwords your pictures, so be very carefull running these kind of programs, and if you think that the benchmark score is dodgy bells should be ringing, you give the program permission to check your PC but it could be cloning all your information, not all of these programs including this one are dodgy,
even the programs that check your PC for what kind of ram that you want to buy can take over your PC and clone all your important information.
it has happened in the past, never let anyone remote your computers...
