i really want to paly this game. i bought it within the first couple hours of preorder. it was wednesday morning, 11:55 am, preloaded, i stayed home from work that day, ready to play. 12:01 comes, and im pissed. it says i need a better graphics card. im trying my best not to look up gameplay on the internet (or hell-ternet) not to spoil it, but come on. i can play awesomenauts for example on its HIGHEST graphics qualty, and i have high graphics on other games. from the store page photos of the game i dont think i should need one. i dont make tons of money in my job and have to save alot. in about 2 months ill be able to afford that $200 graphics card to play a $15 game. can anyone help me or tell me if im doing something wrong?

You could start by telling us what card do you have.

What's you configuration and system spec, tell us everything ^_^

There are issues with intel HD cards, and also with Optimus (intel+nvidia)
Who or what "says i need a better graphic card" ?
Did it said that when trying the demo ?

For sure you need something equivalent to a Xbox 360 minimum. (Direct X 10.1 and Shader 2.0) and it's like 5 year old hardware.

dear fws: i have the card that came in the basic windows vista home premium box. i dont exactly own one, and i havenet checked. i sohuld.

dear olivier jt: i didnt try it in the demo, just after launching the game, this message comes up from "hell yeah". thats whats in the top see through bar.(copy n paste) (begin transmission)

Could not find a direct3D device that supports the xna framework hidef profile.
Make sure the desktop is not locked, and no other application is running in full screen mode.
Avoid running under remote desktop or as a windows service.
Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to full.

i do own an xbox, a friend gave me a while back. about maybe 2010 or 2009. i bouhgt this pc in 2008. my box does say "graphics by nvidia" so im gussing i have that.

Hi, Jaditron! Did you install xnafx40_refresh_redist ? Its an installation file located inside the game folder ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Hell Yeah Wrath of the Dead Rabbit\Redist to be more specific). By the way, If you have vista or XP, game folder should be located in "Program files" (whitout the "x86"). Hope It helps!

Well you have to check what kind of card do you have exactly. In my case the demo works on GF 8800, and there was an user who even reported that it works on GF 8600, both on Windows XP which dont even support DX10. Both cards are older than your PC, but since you dont know what card you have, and refer to PC by Windows versions, it could be the case that you have something that is not enough to run the game.

Also Did you try to run other XNA games? Maybe They Bleed Pixels or Magicka? But I think it could be just a matter of too old shader versions, not many of 2D games use shaders at all, but apparently this one may.

Easy way to check is to lauch a little application in windows :

It's start in command line (yeeeaah ! ^_^)
So start the command line and type :
dxdiag (then enter)
This is a DirectX diagnostic and should tell you everything regarding your graphical capabilities for this game (actually all the game using direct x)

Is it the first time you play a game on your pc ?

If you do you should install DirectX and it is not in the resdistribuables of Hell Yeah.

It's a general installer so you should be fine.

If it doesn't install... it's another problem ^_^

Woah this could be because of optimus too ? I know a bout the optimus bug and this solution, I didn't know it could generate that error too.
But I still don't know Jaditron Video card, I hope all will be revealed sooooon ^_^

To find out what card (or lack there of as I suspect) you are using, go to Computer/ Properties/ Device Manager/ Display Adapters.
I have the feeling your running on integrated graphics, which can have problems with certain games regardless of the power behind them.
