Might I humbly suggest that the kids want what they want?
And not what the Top of the Pops tell them what they want? That is, I'd should like to posit the theory that your target customer base might like to learn to play all the things you haven't licensed for the game. Such songs as Lion's take on The Transformer's theme (as played in The Transformers: The Movie) or the melody as heard in the Gerudo Desert in Nintendo's 'The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time'. Hell, even Spencer Nilsen's take on 'Stardust Speedway' from the US version of Sonic CD's OST might make a fine addition.

Of course, this is all one humble consumer's opinion. That said, there's a lot of Tommy Tallarico's work I'd like to learn to mimic, if not for the purposes of inspiring my own melodies.

How about Joe Satriani's take on the street fighter II theme? Hard to find, not even sure if it's legit, but the version i heard someone needs to tab out and get put in to the game.
