Gm chord help in Radiohead Bodysnatchers
Hi gents,

So I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around this chord. I used the in-game chord book but it doesn't explain it as much as I would like. I place my 1st finger on the 3rd fret 2 & 3 string and my 3rd finger on the 5th fret 6 string, do I have to mute the 5th and 1st string and if so how the hell do I get my fingers in that position?

I don't have this song. Can you get a screenshot of this chord ? I can't make anything that looks like Gm from what you described.
Also you might wanna try to go into riff reapeater and set mastery to 100% to see if you are getting the full chord already. Some songs have a weird progression when it comes to chords and it might give you a better idea on how to place your fingers when you see the full chord.

Crap, I know I'm not explaining it properly... I'll see if I can find something that looks like it.

You can see the chord in the chorus... the angle doesn't help me figure it out but there must be some muting in there. It starts at 2:10 to find it...

Oh man, this is crazy. Way over my head to be fair :) No wonder it's hard to explain.
You were right and he mutes the strings. There's no other way to play it. If you look closely you can see that he mutes the 5th string with his middle finger. Not sure about the 1st string but it's probably muted too. Can't exactly see but he might be using his pinky for that.
Can't help you much more here. This video is great though, gotta go check this channel out.

LOL, ok... my song is not as unlocked as his, just saying. The Gm is the first chord they are throwing out at me in this arrangement.

I have no idea how to impliment your advice but will continue hunting based on your suggestions, thanks.

You could always do this section in accelerator/Riff repeater. Slow the section right down so you can see the finger placement. Saves a lot of guessing.

I'm sorry but this is wrong. He was asking about Gm.
The chord you show here is a barre G.
Gm7 can be formed in different ways, but this is not one of them. The simplest would be to make a Gm by lifting your middle finger and then make it Gm7 by lifting your pinky.
The video show which version is used in this song (a particulary strange one to be fair).

Too bad the game doesn't indicate which finger goes where. It would certainly help sometimes.

Nothing strange — guitar is in drop-D tuning, so he must compensate. But yeah, he mutes A srting, as game says, but it isn't necesseary.

Oh, I didn't realize it was in Drop-D. Makes much more sense now :) As I mentioned I don't have this song.

In the chord book it shows finger placement of the 1st and 3rd finger in relation to the chord however it doesn't do anything for the muting of the strings... if they had a hand actually on the frets that could be examined while learning the chord my misery would be gone.

Well, the game is pretty much the first of it's kind so of course there's a lot of room for improvement. There were a couple of surveys on the Rocksmith website asking for feedback on what should be changed/added so they're trying to make it better which is always a good thing. It's probably gonna take a while though.
