just a rant on some bad tracking

I wish the trackers at ubisoft/rocksmith would properly place notes not all on the same 2 strings its understandable to play a fifth fret if a phrase requires so to aid into the next phrase but these guys that are tracking seem to lack some skills or something if a note is played fifth fret why not keep it simple on playing the next open string. like playing an A NOTE fifth fret red when its simpler to play open yellow same as in power chords. the only time this dont help is in dropped tuning where the red 5 becomes red 7th.

Like wise with kansas - carry on my wayward son after intro/chorus it makes you play 2 open red then 12th fret and 14th fret orange blue then it makes you jump all the way down to red 5th when you can easily just hit open yellow and stay in position of the 12th-14th

also why play the same note consecutevly red 5th following an open yellow is just ...wrong

It doesn't *make* you do that. You're free to play the open A rather than the 5th fret E - an A is an A is an A to RS.

But, I'll give ya that it would be easier to NOT have to do the recognition on the fly. It would have been better if they put that kind thought into designing the runway...

Yeah, it would have been nice if they didn't make the fretboard so linear.

That's how tablature is written, though - as specific fret positions on specific strings. And if you want to play the same note on a different string, then you just do that on the fly.

I'm not sure how that could be changed, unless the game switched to using standard notation.
