GAME INSTALLATION PROBLEMS!!!

Whenever i try to install the game, it says "missing app configuration" PLEASE HELP!!!

If you bought the phyiscal disk (yeah i know there rare) How i got past the problem was, I opened steam, put the disk in, and it auto booted, i hit play game (it thought it was installed) and then i got the disc to open again (like auto play after you just put it in your system) and left that open well i told the game to install on the steam menus that forcefully pop up. bing bang boom its reistalling. I hope this helped as it took me 2 hours to get to this point :D

I had the same problem "missing app configuration".
Uninstall Steam and game, then install again.
It helped me.

Thanks! I ended up just downloading from steam (I have the disk) and it worked XD

Had the same problem. Kudos to cwang5131! I installed it from a retail CD the way you described and god knows it saved me from getting a stroke from the frustrations of installing this game.
