Some good advice there, had some lag issues using an asus pcie card, problem was my onboard sound was broken so was stuck with it.

Couldn't take it anymore so upgraded my PC, now using onboard for Rocksmith with no (at least noticeable) lag.

One thing to note is that it can be possible to adjust MaxOutputBufferSize by multiples of 8. In my case the lowest MaxOutputBufferSize I was able to set with the game being stable was 152.

Yea, good point for people that want to chew off that last byte (pun intended ^^) to get least possible lag.

It works for me on 152, but sound gets a bit distorted while playing chords - with 192 it sounds perfect - best trying it out with various settings and finding your own sweet spot.

Even with the INI tweaks, there is still about 30-60msec of lag baked into the cable, mainly because it doesnt use ASIO drivers.

Thats far too much if youve been playing for a while, the lag gets very troublesome when playing faster rhythms. A solution is to split the signal after your guitar to an amp, and to the rocksmith cable. Turn your in game guitar sound off, and monitor through your amp in real time, with the note detection working fine.

I think this would make a good game guide (http://steamcommunity.com/app/205190/guides/)
