CABLE DETECTED ***But Not Working In Game!!***
I have set the cable up as described here:

And the cable is showing up as perfectly detected and working in Windows 7. I have tried different ports too but it still won't detect in the game at the calibration screen.

If I unplug the cable and plug it back in it registers noise on the scale but only for 2 seconds and then cuts out.

What could be happening here?

I am using an accoustic guitar, but I have put brand new batteries in the pickup and it works perfectly with my little amp.

Also, how can I get to the main menu because it always forces me to setup a profile and calibrate first. Maybe changing the settings in the menu will help?

Thanks for your help, I'm really keen to start using this!

Got it working! I think it was changing something in the communication tab (in the same sound properties) The box reduce volume of other sounds by 80% is checked by default, I changed it to do nothing. and everything worked.

The only other thing I changed was one of the cable setup options, in sound properties I changed it to 16bit 48Khz in the recording device tab. It was set at 16bit 41Khz. But I still think it was the option mentioned above that made it finally work.

Hope that this helps someone else. They really should mention that in the setup guide (the link pasted above).

cool, you have it working. Mine does that too so I go into control panel under usb and unplug / replug until it finally recognizes. Lately its been fine, but im using RS2014 which did act same way. I really wish they would let us buy an upgrade to patch for using what ever USB to intrument adapter we want. I have a couple, line 6 and focusrite. I understand they need to proprioritise (sorry spelling) hardware to sell in order to support the resources/expense put into this product. I would pay the price of the cable over again to use my own interface. Hell, Guitarbots allows everything from the RS cable to my stuff and lots others. Good you have it working hope you like the program.

I think what you didnot do was give it enough time to install the drivers for rocksmith cable which should calibrate it... Well great job ... you have it working now.
