It is kind of late for a review for this game, but after my second playthrough I think I should tell you guys how great this game is.
You play in first person in a medieval world with magic and science.
You will start a level with at least one goal, sometimes the goals change or you get more goals or you can decide which of the ways to reach the goals you want to use. Mostly it is the decicion: Lethal or not lethal.
Inside the level you are free to go where you want.
You can play the whole game like DARK, you try to not to be seen, your only target is the mission goal.
Even if you do so, you can still decide if you kill at all. You WILL be responsible for dead/capture, but you can make it kind of... third parties fault.
The complete different approach is the killing spree.
If you use knife, crossbow, pistol, grenades, mines and magic to the fullest extend you can do incredible cool things.
You can freeze time and put a grenade in the hand of someone, take a bullet from the air, teleport behind an enemy to strangle him, send rats to eat your enemies alive or blast them against walls.
You can take over a fish or another animal and use different routes, take over a human and walk him out of the sight of others, reprogram towers to kill your enemies and so much more.
So you can either play the I-do-not-kill-guy with a good ending or the kill-all-enemies-guys with a bad or at least dark ending.
Either way, the game is fantastic.
I really love the graphics, I love the music and the gameplay is very smooth and fun.
The only thing which is not so good: the character faces are... don't know.. kind of ugly. All of them.
This game is a must play. At least once!
I did 2012 the killer-guy playthrough, 2014 the ghost - not in all levels :( - playthrough and now I will have some fun with mindless killing again :)
