Clear sky makes Souls games Laughable...vanilla version

The absolute most frustrating, tough as nails, blend of a game with not much to go on with youtube or walkthroughs or tips etc..is this game clear sky..im downloading pripyat now as Im a huge fan of this brutal zone world..i dream of it, hear the sound effects in my sleep, i absolutly love it. completed SOC few months ago and that goes down as a top 10 of all time and i like this a bit better.
But that ending DOUGH i played on veteran and it was a torture fest..i really came close to punching my hardware haha. BUT I LOVE EVERY TORTURING MINUTE.

thats how i felt when i finished on Verteran on vanilla.....even with an Exo maxxed for armor and a firefly artifact enabled, the military and monolith with assault rifle were gunning me down quickly. I had a G37 maxxed for accuracy so i was hitting the targets no prob, but the construction site in Limansk was a brutal beatdown. Think i died like 5 times at that part. The hospital wasnt so bad....i had the Grenade Launcher as a side weapon and used it in the corridors and against the helicopter.

At the CNPP i tried to take out Strelok before he reached the portals, to no avail. Seems like in that sequence EVERY OTHER shot would hit him. Sight right on him everytime, but only every other shot would hit him.....ran out of time to take him down quickly. So i had to go through the portals. Got my @ss handed to me a few times. But not since i beat Hard Reset on Insane have i pumped my fist in the air after completing.....it was tough. The game wasn't overly difficult UNTIL the red forest. trying to get artifacts in the red forest is suicide on verteran unless youve got a backup armor suit maxxed for anomalies.

Strangely enough, i did the faction wars for Freedom just before entering Limansk so i could get my hands on the Freedom Exo and didnt have a single issue. Blew right through it. I thought once i had the Exo i was golden. Beat the game before, but not on Veteran. Boy, i was throttled with just how much harder it was.

And i agree with you.....loved every minute of it. It is my fav stalker game afterall.....got over 200 hours in all 3 games too.

Ohh man i dont know what was worse the construction site or the end...see i refuse to look at strategy tips i prefer to figure it out myself and th end was painstaking..took awhile to figure im just trying to kill strelok and not keep advancing...at least 3xs he got to the plant and killed us all because i was trying to kill all the monolithsLOL..
and that construction site with the grenade spam perfect accuracy coming from 6 ways till sunday at ya..man it was BRUTAL.
starting call of prip now.. got half a woody im so syked to get ex and im ploded by anomalies..machine gunned down, shrapneled by perfect place nades that defy geometry in this world haha.there is no newtons laws of gravity or motion or inertia here..its YOU LOSE try again haha.
oh and dont count out your welcome back to CORDON to visit seidoravich..haha that turret HELL is real..took me 20 deaths there at least..veteran 2 shots its a wrapp

i sided with loners i love them dudes just chillin at the agrogram stalker base and kill bandits at the back door was great :) .
i did a few quests for each and stayed neutral..that way i got the best upgrades from duty and kept the peace and kush with freedom.

The only incentive to join the loners honestly is for the Bubble artifact. The SEVA suit is a plus sure, but on Veteran not so much. Plus, if you get the SEVA for beating the bandits, whats the point because you cant upgrade it completely without a mod. And 1 bullet will probably kill you.

I would stay neutral but do all the side quests for each faction so they are all friendly (green) that way i get access to good equipment from each, but of course, not access to the best equipment. I eityher do the faction wars for duty or freedom, but i wait until i have completed the army warehouses because that level is a pain with either freedom or duty AND tyhe monolith as enemies. Plus, i need a GOOD weapon like the G37 (which you dont get access to until the warehouses) or the Sig 5k.

As far as armor is concerned, i usually stick with the Clear Sky armor (the better suit) until i get to the red forest. Not the greatest anomaly protection sure, but offers good bullet protection maxxed at 60. Once i complete the objective at Yantar, the Bulat armor becomes available and offers great bullet protection and better anomaly support. Needed for red forest. Problem is it only maxxes at 2 artifact containers. So if i'm not playing on Veteran i stick with the clear sky armor so i can have 1 more artifact container.

I once played on easy and beat the game with the clear sky armor.....man that was hard. Even on easy i was getting owned in Limansk. I've gone through the config files and afjusted some numbers to make the clear sky armor better (slight more bullet prot, and better anomaly support and 1 more artifact container, but adjusting stuff like that seemed to make the game unstable).

yeah limansk is now joke..could be called hell. there 20 monoliths sunk in like an albama tick with 100% accuracy with grenades..probably died 30xs there easy.
i stuck with the seva suit and upgraded it..i gues i had a mod installed because i bought 2 upgrades that let me put 3 total artifacts in it.
