LT/RT buttons don't work in vehicle

Why doesn't RT move the car forward like the controls screen says? It says both RT and A move forward and LT and B brake/reverse, but only A and B work. LT/RT work on foot, which tells me it's a bug in the game. It's a pain to press other buttons while using A/B to move.

Okay, I see. But if you go into the controls menu, it very clearly shows both RT and A as forward and both LT and B as brake / reverse.
