Can't play this game more than 10 seconds without crashing.

I really want to enjoy this game but I'm finding it hard to when I can't play this game beyond getting into the first car. I have an Asus Xonar DG (and regretting it so far) and I hear that they are the culprit so I was wondering if there are any suggestions to as what I need to do to actually play this game?
