Not bad at all
Quite nice tactical game, though there are some perfomance issues: it is slowing down using Low settings on my GT540 card, which deals with most games.

yeah the combat is awesome and is basically the only positive thing about the game; gonna grab aarklash legacy after i finish this

Just a note, a GT540 is an entry level card for playing back HD media and little else. Games won't run well on your card.

I'm just starting the game, but it does seem enjoyable. I will probably get flamed for this, but I'm actually getting a Dungeon Siege vibe from this game. We'll see if that lasts though ;)

I don't think it deserves the hate it got. It's in no way a great game but it's ok and is at least a bit different from the many diablo clones that have come out in the last 10 years.

I'm glade someone liked it. I gave up after 30 minutes. ♥♥♥♥ty story, voice acting and boring gameplay. I didn't like a single thing about this game.

The game is horribly un optimised, and as said it is a turd in gameplay and story etc, but what do you expect from cyanide studios?

These are my thoughts exactly. It is in no way a super amazing must-have (especially for its original price), but picking it up through the humble bundle, I don't feel too disappointed with it. Had I paid full price for this game, maybe my opinion would be different, but atm I like the combat and the tactics needed to win.

Yep, this game's a fine gem (subject to subjectivity :p)

That being said, it is true that a GT 540 is entry level, or rather somewhere between low and mid-range graphics card. It's not that bad of a card, like how evanlet described it as designed for "playing back HD media and little else". I used to have a GT 520 (a few steps below GT 540) and on a 1200x800 (windowed) or 1600x900 resolution I did manage to run games at low settings rather surprisingly. I do not know what resolution you are running on, and you did say other games run fine (I assume at low-mid settings?) on the card normally. Well, this game is not as optimised as other games, in fact it's terrible at it. So you can't do much about the performance, may be hope for the developers to optimise it better so that it runs more smoothly on machines across the board.

I have a 560ti on Win7 x64 and it runs fine. I was wondering if "horribly optimized" was referring to the rather clumsy cutscenes where they are using low fps in-game animations...which I can easily forgive.

It's a good game but it's very poorly optimised. It's like...god it's so badly optimised that i just can't find any words to describe it. But yes, the game is quite good. Altho the camera rotation, level design and voice acting are bad...like really bad. And the game is linear. Hell, CoD isn't as linear as this game.

What saves the game is the gameplay. And i love the gameplay. It's one of the few things this game got right and let's be honest...gameplay is the most important thing in a video game (unless it's an adventure game).

It's not just the cutscenes. The game is badly optimised. I can run Battlefield 3 on high in multiplayer and get 45-50 fps, Borderlands 2 maxed out and get over 50 fps...but i run this game on medium and i still get 20-26 fps and the game isn't even that beautiful.
