I got this game at a 75% discount.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a wild west themed FPS whereby Silas Greaves tells the story of how be became a widely renowned bounty hunter to a number of patrons in a bar. You play as Silas himself as he (and sometimes the eager patrons) narrates the encounters as he hunts down wanted men, takes down gangs, prevents a railway explosion, searches for a particular man and more.
You would usually be outnumbered in firefights, but normal mobs never seemed unfair. At the end of each chapter, there would be a boss fight that would often be a showdown between Silas and a villain. For me, this was always the highlight of the game. However, some chapters do not end with a showdown and these fights can be rather challenging. You often have a lowground disadvantage and have limited cover as bullets rain down from different sides. Frustrating at times.
You would also likely have to play the game on New Game + due to the nature of the ending. For your second play though, I recommend the True West difficulty, in which there are minimum HUD elements (no crosshair, aim through ironsights), Although tougher, it is also more realistic and you get a nice steam achievement for doing it.
I really like the gameplay Call of Juarez: Gunslinger provides. This is also first FPS game I played on a gamepad and it was really entertaining.
