Fov not changing?
When i try to change the fov in Video.scr with notepad++ it reverts back to default every time i start the game up and if i put it in read-only the fov dosen even change in-game. Anyone else run into this issue and managed to fix it? Game is really fun want to play it but the fov is too small. This is what i put in the config ForcedHorzFov(100)

I had to write-protect the file after each change to keep it. Don't know if the new patch changed that necessity.

Hi guys,

time to revive this thread.
My changes to video.scr in order to change the FOV (ForcedHorzFov(100)) won't do nothing. I set the file to "read only" and removed the "!" before the line too.

I looked through all the threads I could find about the FOV fix and it seems there were more people with the same issue. Unfortunately, the problem was never resolved.

Has anyone of you got an idea what might cause the FOV to not apply in-game? This seems like a great game, but I just can't bring myself to play with such a cramped FOV.

Thanks!

This is what I use...

Resolution(2880,1620)
Monitor(0)
BPP(24)
FSAA(1)
TexBPP(32)
TextureQuality(High)
VisRange(5.00, 5.00)
Filtering(AnisotropicTrilinear)
Fullscreen()
Shadows("High")
ShadowMapSize(2048)
SpotShadowMapSize(2048)
Lightmaps()
GammaFloat(1.00)
MaxRefresh(60)
MaterialQuality(0)
FXQuality(3)
FXFadeLevel(0)
WaterQuality(0)
GrassQuality(0)
EnvQuality(FullDynamic)
ShaderPath(3)
DisplayDeviceType(0,0.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000)
ForcedHorzFov(98.000000)
DisableScreenBorder()
PostProcess(Normal)

Then make it read-only. Maybe you need the ".000000" after the "100"?
