- new settings available in video ini file

Yeap i hope it will finaly be able to disable the black line and change the Fov, thanks
Where's the video.ini file exactly?

Edit:

The ini file for video settings is actually in: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\techland\cojgunslinger\out\Settings - and you'll want to add "ForcedHorzFov" to the bottom with the correct values to change the FoV

Edit 2:

To make the changes, you need to add the lines to the bottom of the file yourself. If you want to increase the FOV, add this line:

ForcedHorzFov(95)

- replacing '95' with the FOV of your choice. Values between 80 and 110 are valid.

To disable the black painted border on the screen, add this line:

DisableScreenBorder()

Then save the file and start the game.

Hell yeah!
Sweet. So how do we change the FOV with this exactly?
Waiting for word about disabling black line, it depends if I buy and play this game or not... and I really want to buy and play it.
@Autumn- then why not buy it and play it?

The ini file is in "...Steam\steamapps\common\CoJ Gunslinger\coj4\Data\game.ini"

also there are setting at:

"C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Local\techland\cojgunslinger\out\Settings\Video.scr"

Thats the Game.ini & has no obvious video options in it...
Heaven forbid people start thinking for themselves

THANK YOU for fixing the 7.1 issue. I can play the game again!

Nice work

Exactly, this is the path:
c:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\techland\cojgunslinger\out\Settings\Video.scr
I see 2 new options:

!DisableScreenBorder() // Disable the hand-painted comic border around the edges of the screen

!ForcedHorzFov(f) // Forced horizontal field of view angle measured against 16:9 aspect ratio; 80-110 degrees, def. 82.72. Partial support only. Use at your own risk.
Will there be also patches for other Techland games that suffered form the "keyboard.stutter" like Dead-Island? If you have found the engine problem it shouldn't be too hard to implement this retroactively.
