same here no more playin till fov fixed and fps drops / stutter fixed
tis a wonderfull game though
God knows I'm still regretting the 5€ spent on Bound in Blood.
The funniest thing is it supports eyefinity, so what's the point on not putting an FOV slider or an ini to configure it ?
zeno clash 2 dev, which had default fov of 90. lock on fov when punching at 60 fov.. fans complained, they said that their punching camera was custom and that it would be hard work but less than 24 hours of the game's release they pulled off an fov fix and let you put whatever value you wanted in the ini if the in game menu selection they added wasn't enough.
they are 15 man studio with 1 engine coder and they have earned their fans with what is imo, the best support any dev team proves their games over the past several years.
we have had, for years since bioshock, very loud and very present complaints and knowledge regarding low fov. there absolutely is no excuse for locked low fov when more gamers have genuine issues with motion sickness, eye strain, headaches from low fov. the shorter distance from player to screen is said to be greater cause for pc gamers than console gamers yet even the console players from couch to tv still experience the same problems.
i have never heard of anyone getting sick or having issue with 90 fov default, 110-120 horizontal fov has always been user preference territory but never forced on players
60-80 horizontal fov has been getting so much obvious backlash for years, developers continue to set it at default knowing full well how stupid and just plain wrong it is. worst part, some set 60 horizontal fov (NOT VERTICAL) as default, the absolute dumbest value to set for default AND THEY LOCK IT!!!
basically, i hold low default fov values which are locked as a problem worse than rampant dlc or other business considerations which negatively impact me as the labelled "consumer"
i do not buy games with locked fov and always check forums beforehand for such an issue.
even though i won't own the titles i do comment on them to remind people this has been an issue for years, every developer knows about it yet they ignore it or feign reasons that are inexcusable. stop supporting this practice or demand that games have fov disclosure in the store page.
this is a step below strobe induced seizures that are now required prominent health warnings but the fact that even more percentage of player will suffer sickness from low fov then it should have its own warning and disclosure if devs wont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ listen or bother.
Metro Last Light - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash
Darkness 2 - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash
Zeno Clash 2 - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash
Those are just examples off the top of my head...
