FOV fix please
I must say, this is THE most fun I have had with an introduction of a game in a long, long, long time.
Loading pics set the mood for a western really well, and gameplay is fast (except duels) like it should be.
I have only finished the billy the kid episode so far, and here is why:
The FOV is making me sic.
20 minutes in, and I cant play anymore.
Need an FOV fix, like, very quick.

Other than this, a super fun game so far.

crap, was interested in this game...but will hold on to my $$ until a FOV fix comes around.

I have never had any problems with motion sickness in games, but there is definitely something wrong with this title and FOV could be the problem.

I would like to make a pretty sad observation. Every FPS game made by Techland has had terrible FOV. I think the last games that allowed for easy console command changes to the FOV were the Chrome games. Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide, all of Call of Juarez games have problematic FOV, which again as far as I remember was never adressed by the developer. So I think hoping for an FOV fix from the developer is naive, they just don't care.

Yeah, I figured as much. Considering Techland's track record, I was positive this game would have FoV issues. I'm glad I was smart enough not to pre-order it.
God knows I'm still regretting the 5€ spent on Bound in Blood.

The game looks so fun but my eyes hurt even watching a review on fullscreen. I'm used to an FOV of 110 and this game is locked at 60. Man oh man. Developers care less and less about PC gaming..
The funniest thing is it supports eyefinity, so what's the point on not putting an FOV slider or an ini to configure it ?

The thing is, previous titles using Chrome Engine were modifiable. You could crack open the data files and adjust the FoV yourself, amongst other things. Now we have a smaller $15 title where you'd expect them to go through LESS effort to lock the game down, but they went the extra mile to ensure that we couldn't customize it to our liking by encrypting the data files. Kinda disgraceful to not have a modifiable FoV these days....

no FOV adjust = no buy

the typical excuse is "it's harder than you think to allow custom fov because we made our in-game cameras and animations only work at the ultra low fov we chose". "we will investigate a fix and see what we can do about it".

zeno clash 2 dev, which had default fov of 90. lock on fov when punching at 60 fov.. fans complained, they said that their punching camera was custom and that it would be hard work but less than 24 hours of the game's release they pulled off an fov fix and let you put whatever value you wanted in the ini if the in game menu selection they added wasn't enough.

they are 15 man studio with 1 engine coder and they have earned their fans with what is imo, the best support any dev team proves their games over the past several years.

we have had, for years since bioshock, very loud and very present complaints and knowledge regarding low fov. there absolutely is no excuse for locked low fov when more gamers have genuine issues with motion sickness, eye strain, headaches from low fov. the shorter distance from player to screen is said to be greater cause for pc gamers than console gamers yet even the console players from couch to tv still experience the same problems.

i have never heard of anyone getting sick or having issue with 90 fov default, 110-120 horizontal fov has always been user preference territory but never forced on players

60-80 horizontal fov has been getting so much obvious backlash for years, developers continue to set it at default knowing full well how stupid and just plain wrong it is. worst part, some set 60 horizontal fov (NOT VERTICAL) as default, the absolute dumbest value to set for default AND THEY LOCK IT!!!

basically, i hold low default fov values which are locked as a problem worse than rampant dlc or other business considerations which negatively impact me as the labelled "consumer"

i do not buy games with locked fov and always check forums beforehand for such an issue.

even though i won't own the titles i do comment on them to remind people this has been an issue for years, every developer knows about it yet they ignore it or feign reasons that are inexcusable. stop supporting this practice or demand that games have fov disclosure in the store page.

this is a step below strobe induced seizures that are now required prominent health warnings but the fact that even more percentage of player will suffer sickness from low fov then it should have its own warning and disclosure if devs wont ♥♥♥♥ing listen or bother.

Until there's some way to adjust the FOV I'm not buying this.

Techland is a fantastic dev and I loved Bound in Blood, but the FOV was unacceptably low. I won't buy Gunslinger until I can fix the FOV. I don't care if it's through the options menu or editing an INI file, but PLEASE, Techland, take my money!

When will devs learn...

Metro Last Light - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash
Darkness 2 - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash
Zeno Clash 2 - got an FOV patch after consumer backlash

Those are just examples off the top of my head...
