Because I don''t like a challenge. It may seem weird to you but it takes all kinds to make a world. I also play god mode on skyrim, It is so much more fun, since I only use it as a sandbox modding haven so rushing through some story will unlock more stuff
New age titles should have a 'SKIP / Next Mission' option become available after x amount of fails/tries built in. It only makes sense.

Personally, I usually go thru mine normal, then on the hardest (tend to play most games at least twice, especially shooters). You ever want to take a stab at this one again, choose your levels up to support your gameplay weaker areas and use the 'bullet time' effect (Q) to be able to hit multiple enemies in a very slo-mo. Also hit the explosives when they're near it. Lots of little things you can do to help your situation.
