If you are experiencing a very low frame rate
I've had this happen to me on a couple games. I have no idea why this works, but plug in an xbox 360 controller. My framerate lag is instantly gone and the game plays normal. I do not know if any other controllers or usb devices will do the same.

Great tip sanityman. I can confirm that this also works with an old Saitek joystick, so will probably work with other controllers too.

Edit: This does also work for Angelica Weaver - Catch me when you can (also a Mumbo Jumbo game), so might also work for other Mumbo Jumbo titles.

Also have the same issue (win 8.1) and can confirm even the wireless MS controller being turned on fixes the error.

Was this game created with GameMaker by chance? I seem to have this issue often with games that were and I wondered if you have a tip to share with some other devs.

Thanks for the tip. It was running really slow for me & I know it's not my rig. But plugging in the controller helped.

I let my dev team know and we are looking to see why this is happening.

Shame on you dev! you've let your team know that this problem exists and after 8 months still no fix. Oh well, at least connecting a controller works. :)
