Anyway to fix online lag issues?
Me and a friend are trying to play co-op and it's just way too laggy. There is a 1-2 second delay on all our movements. We live in the same town so it's not location and both of our internet speeds are fine and capable of hosting. Anyone else had the same problem?

I had the same problem. It's one person's house. It doesn't matter if you're in the same town. I live in the Philippines. My friend's house is 3 minutes away from mine. If I play from my house, we have 1-2 second delays. Also with my boyfriend in Australia. It's the same thing. But if I play with my boyfriend in Australia in my friends house, there's absolutely no lag. It has to be either your friend's house or your house. Maybe there's a firewall that makes it slow. c: Try that.

Thanks for the advice, I'll get him to disable his firewall as well as mine and I will report back if t fixes it over the next day or so.

Not sure if disabling the firewall worked for you, but if it didn't give this a try:

In multiplayer if you notice excessive framerate problems this is cause by one or more players having the resolution set too high. The way to determine the player that is causing the issue is simple. Have each player in the match lower the resolution to 800x600 while in game. This should relieve the framerate issues in total. After that have one user at a time raise their resolution. Engage in more gameplay and see if the slowdown returns the move on to the next player and have them repeat the same steps. By repeating the steps for each user it is possible to discover the player that is causing the problem and what resolution they need to be at for all players to experience optimum gameplay.

It's not an issue of framerate that is the problem. It's an issue of latency between the two of us.

I can too say, this is not the problem of low system spec. I run the game is SP fine, MSI Afterburner shows 63fps and GPU load around 20%. In MP i have the same FPS and GPU load, but sometimes the game just lags. If i'm precisely, it's not a lag, but some slowering of gameplay, and the response of my X360 gamepad is maybe 200-300ms behind.

Dude, did you not just read me say that it is not an issue of framerate but an issue of latency, as in, connection between the two of us. Read the damn post.

From what I have read one player running the game higher then 720p online causes latency for everyone.

I still have no clue how that is even possible but me and a bud tested it out and sure enough major lag when he raised his res and ran smooth when us both were at 720p

Easy fix. Make sure both of you guys play in the same resolution.
I know this sound weird but differend screen resolution make huge lags in this game. I have no idea why it does this but this it how I fixed lag with 2 of my friends.

I tested this myself and its true, two diff res will cause all players issues. Everyone until the update coems out needs to keep it at 720p

I tried it and it didn't help at all.

Yes, i think resolution isn't the whole problem. I play in 1440*900 and played online a couple of times with NO lags with some random people. Even the ingame bar for latency wasn't always green and we played smooth.
