Faliure To Start Game (Missing Executable) HELP!
I just bought castle crashers yesterday and had a very very hard time getting it to work i did a number of things 1. I deleted the appcache like steam told me to it did not work 2. I verified the integrity of the game cache it did not help 3. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game and steam 4. I tried using a cracked version of the .exe launcher to start the game it worked but i could not save 5. I went to my graphics card (AMD HD RADEON 6670) website and downloaded a driver update. When i did this i could play the game save and play with friends no problem i played the game for hours then went to bed. When woke up i found that i got the same (missing executable) message i tried to do everything i did before i even ran a scan to make sure i didn't have a virus i restored my pc to a couple days before i downloaded the game i need help i have idea what to do. Also this exact same thing is happening to me with the Chivalry game it makes me want to belive that this is a problem when i am actually downloading the games cause this is only happening with the games i have bought recently.

Hi Nuckin!

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. The best way to get help on something like this is to head over to our support site and start a new ticket. Here's the link:

http://www.thebehemoth.com/support/ticket/open.php

Please include a detailed description of your issue (just like this post) and your dxdiag. Here's how if you don't know:
To obtain a dxdiag report using Windows XP or above:
1. From the start button, select "run" or type "run" into the search bar, then hit enter
2. Type "dxdiag" into the run field and hit enter
3. Once the dxdiag tool dialogue window pops up, click on the "Save All Information" button or tab
4. Save the report file to the location of your choice, then open it in a text editor and copy-paste the information into your shiney new ticket.

Something else you can try is to change your launch options. It sounds like something funky might be going on with your graphics card.
1. In the Steam client, navigate to the Games tab
2. Right click on "Castle Crashers" from the game list, then select the "Properties" menu option
3. Under the "General" tab, click the "Set Launch Options" button
4. Copy-paste the following into the box:

-width 640 -height 480 -window -noaudio

This will force the game to launch in windowed mode at 640x480 resolution with no audio - good way to troubleshoot things. Include the results of this when you start your ticket. Remember to delete this after testing or it will launch like this always.

Hope this helps!

Same issue here. No of the listed fixes helped.

I got mine fixed actually, it was a problem with my installation of windows, i've had problems like this before but didnt want to reinstall windows, I eventually did and that solved all my problems.
