Controller. People play this with keyboard?
Yes, you can play with keyboard! Check the Keyboard Settings
There might be something going on with your controller. You see, Castle Crashers may not work as it should if you are not using an original xbox controller and/or using foreign input drivers.
However, if you are using a ps controller, add me so we can chat about it
For the keyboard comment I knew it was possible but question why someone would choose to use a keyboard.
I'm using a 360 controller with a normal USB input. I'm not sure if it helps but it's a 3rd party Afterglow controller.
About your controller,
Original post
I'm not sure if it is your case tho
Unless the Dev's update the game to allow you change the dead zone on your thumbsticks, your only option is to get a new controller or learn to play with the keyboard. It's why I litterally had to stop playing this game.
My controller isn't even two years old.
And I don't think it's a deadzone thing. The game will wait for a second of no input and THEN start moving my character down. If it was a deadzone thing I'd assume I'd move down right away.
