My character is always moving down at random points. This doesn't happen in the overworld and this is only on Castle Crashers. Please help.

I've never heard about it. Keyboard or controller?

Yes, you can play with keyboard! Check the Keyboard Settings

There might be something going on with your controller. You see, Castle Crashers may not work as it should if you are not using an original xbox controller and/or using foreign input drivers.

However, if you are using a ps controller, add me so we can chat about it

For the keyboard comment I knew it was possible but question why someone would choose to use a keyboard.

I'm using a 360 controller with a normal USB input. I'm not sure if it helps but it's a 3rd party Afterglow controller.

Some people may use keyboard because it's the only option they have. Personally, I use it because I'm more used to.

About your controller,

Hey there! Technically, Castle Crashers only supports controllers that are made specifically for the platform you are using with drivers made by the manufacturer, that is DirectInput or XInput API (for PC). If you need to install an external driver to get it to work, you may not be able to use that controller with Castle Crashers.

Thanks for understanding!

Original post

I'm not sure if it is your case tho

this happens to me too. On one controller I move up and other controller moves right. the reason is because the thumbstick deadzone sensitivity in this game is non exsistant and unchangable. So if your controller is a little old and your thumsticks don't return and rest perfectly back at center it will register a direction.

Unless the Dev's update the game to allow you change the dead zone on your thumbsticks, your only option is to get a new controller or learn to play with the keyboard. It's why I litterally had to stop playing this game.

My controller isn't even two years old.

And I don't think it's a deadzone thing. The game will wait for a second of no input and THEN start moving my character down. If it was a deadzone thing I'd assume I'd move down right away.
