Over 5000 players online
But I haven't found any online game without bots. And it get worse when players rage quit. So what I'm missing? I really like this game and idea of simple and fun MOBA is great but cmon. 6 players and usually 3-6 are bots.

There is currently a mechanic in where if the last turret is damaged past 50%, no one can join that match. This is a preventative measure so people joining games don't join games that are heavily stacked against them. If I had to guess, that may be the cause.

Also, many of the newer players are in the very low Leagues right now, so it will take time before they grow accustomed to the game and will come to be in the higher Leagues.

Currently there is also a system that searches in a more narrow radius of 3 Leagues around you if the game is populated. If the game has scarce numbers of people playing, it will search in a wider radius of Leagues, up to 5 Leagues around you. This being to make sure people of similar skill are facing one another- it may indeed take a few days for the newer players to balance out into their respective Leagues.

When someone quits aren't they replaced with a bot? We're probably just seeing a lot of disconnects rather than games starting too early, but it seems like bots cannot be replaced by human players, which is a shame since at least some players would not mind joining late for partial xp and maybe a win. Roll some dice already. Enough of this.

I don't think though that it's fair to accuse someone of rage quitting even if you can verify that they disconnected on purpose. Fighting bots is meaningless and I won't do it. I would rather take a loss. I'm sorry, but no one in the universe will EVER care about my win:loss in this game, especially me.

Add to that the fact that the game refuses to end when it is effectively won. Instead the attacking team is forced to choose between a losing situation at the final defensive bottleneck, or whittling up the defending team's spawn time and waiting for them to all be dead at once. This can take a relatively long time and there's no way past it except for the losing side to make a boneheaded final push against the winners' remaining towers.

Ein, that is what happens in any MOBA when you are pushed to your Core, Ancient, Nexus, et cetera, et cetera. Except people usually aren't so pessimistic about it, instead being glad that they have their enemy on the defensive, exactly where they want them. :P

@einixile
bots get replaced by real players quite often, so stop moaning.
And the game usually gives you the opportunity to switch the match, if another match with more players was found.
@Purplecoin
I guess that is either bad luck, your internet connection or both. I suggest you just try to find a online game later on.

Ah, I forgot to mention this earlier. There is an option to search world wide and half way across the globe if you aren't finding players in your local region. It will affect your Ping a bit, but it is always there as an option to find more players.

Duplosion, I'm glad you said something. I've been trying to spread the word myself. Guys, when you're playing a new game, ALWAYS check your settings, so you can see what you can do to possibly make the gameplay better for you. It can stop quite a few enraged comments.
