I am not playing anymore because...
games end randomly with errors. People constantly quit games and there is no penalty. The host has a distinct advantage.

Well i hear from the devs when the game come out in consoles, since i never quited mid game i wouldnt know, that if you quit a game in the midle of it, you will have penalty of not gaining any sort of rewards next match you finish

I have yet to play a game where no one has quit. Usually both teams end with one or two bots. I don't think giving leavers a loss is a penalty.

Loss of a match is not a significant disincentive. Rage quitting usually happens when someone assumes they are going to lose. There should be a bigger punishment or incentive to continue playing even if a loss is likely. I would be happy with grouping regular leavers into their own bracket so that I wouldn't have to play with them.

you wont get xp if you leave and reduced xp in the next match, thats the difference

People quit and there is a SMALL penalty. No exp for that match, reduced for your next match. With 82 levels to get all the characters and abilities, that is a deterent. The problem is unless you want prestige, you just reach level cap and stay there.

Something I agree with though, it is enfuriating when the game randomly kicks you and gives an error message. Is this a common issue? The one time I asked in game, someone insulted my pc. That was the whole answer. I have put 37 hours into this game, and I have a lot of fun when it decides to work.

I think it happens when there's a problem with the host's computer. I guess it's one of those P2P issues that's hard to solve. It would be nice if they had servers.

I think it's a fun game. It's the technical details that make it infuriating. Random people pop in and out of a game constantly. It may be because I haven't hit the level cap yet, but it's frustrating. I don't want to start most of my games halfway through. I don't want to be playing with or against bots for half of my game.

I was disconnected from a game through no apparent fault of my own - the game just ended without giving any clear error - and it not only showed up as a loss but penalized my won xp in the following game. Seems like more of a teaching gesture than anything else, but it's definitely happening.

I agree with sproctor about the P2P and am quite frankly sick of this new dark ages we find ourselves in. It reminds me of Asimov's Foundation series in which entire planets lose the ability to use nuclear power because everyone just plain forgot about it. Classic features of PC gaming are intentionally left out of modern games, and the player's situation is intentionally obscured by giving as little information as possible. We have games that drop us into matches in progress unwanted; we have games that make us wait until there's a full team on each side - how about giving us a damned choice for once?

Small developers see AAA titles getting away with these terrible design decisions because their large player bases negate most of the problems, but this sort of behavior can destroy a game with a medium-sized player base. Games that come immediately to mind: Lead & Gold, Madballs in Babo, Shoot Many Robots, Aliens vs Predator, Brink. And it's only going to get worse.

When you ragequit it counts as a lost match and you will also earn less XP in your next match as another punishment.
