In the future, there are plans to add a "Custom Games browser" which will allow exactly what you wanted, however there is no ETA on this feature.
All public online matches are on default settings. Nobody can change these settings.
The game tries to make the host of the game whoever will result in the least lag (geographic position, ping time, etc.), but the system could still use some improvement, which Ronimo is very dedicated to make happen.
Was wondering why sometimes the game dropped me with elites in the middle or the end of session and that "host migrating" thing.
Hoping by the time "Custom Games browser" comes out the matchmaker will be greatly improved, game thinks i can keep up with the pros(diffrent game play) and put me in high league, but in reality 1 to 2 leagues down would be my sweet spot.
However there are a few issues with how the migration works, so if the host leaves or disconnects during the migration, it can cause a match-wide disconnect.
Whatever league you're in, you'll find there's a little leeway. Generally about two leagues in either direction (say, if you're in league 5, you're liable to encounter players from leagues 3 to 7).
