You can still play by yourself. Also, if you've already bought the game then you wont have to buy it again. I believe if you don't connect with internet you'll only be able to play solo or maybe lan.

This is f'd up. I didn't buy this game for online only or f2p. I want what I purchased originally or let me revert to pre 4.0. Now this game is a wasted purchase for me. Won't buy from these dopes again.

lol, you can not get to the main menu without being online now, this means no offline mode.

they removed offline mode because the profile is completely online. This is to stop people from cheating the system and giving themselves everything.
