How to unlock "Whisperer" & "Collector" achievements?
Whisperer: Complete The Library being no louder than a whisper.
Collector: Collect all hidden wisps.

I'm still working on these two achievements.
But I really don't know how to reach the requirement of "no louder".
You know, everything makes some sound. But in "The Library" level, all the things make sound.

And where all the wisps locate?

You want to avoid loud noises, like the thud of the shifting book as it hits something. I turned my music off for that one to make it easier to tell how much noise I was making.

I was wondering about the Whisperer as well. I've completed the Library twice now, carefully navigating the key around the inside edge so it didn't fall and make noise. I slid the book slowly, and walked carefully, but didn't get the achievement. How much sound is too much sound?

Thank you! But I still cannot get this achievement. :(

Just got it. Basically worry about the book and I didn't let the key drop. Tap the camera rotate button and pause until the book stops moving, and then tap it again. If you do it this way, the book will slide about 1/4 inch and then stop each time you tap the camera rotate button. Patience is a virtue. BTW character falling didn't seem to make a difference (as I fell from the book down onto the key)

On a side note, anyone know how to get the "refrainer" achievement? By not rotating the camera on the precipice level?

Refrainer Achievement Guide by Mat - allansianadventurer

Huh... I swear I made less noise using my meticulous strategy. Unless rewinding counts, too. Which I feel it might. As for the Refrainer, that guide is more or less the strategy I used. It's pretty easy if you just get the timing right.

can anoyone confirm if you can indeed rewind for whisperer?
also, any tips for the 30 seconds fall achievement?

thanks

For the 30 second fall just go outside your house and turn the world sideways :)

aha silly me
thanks :p

I'm gonna go ahead and confirm that. My other method made virtually zero noise, but I rewound a lot. LethalAffliction's method made a bit more noise, but was easier to pull off, meaning no rewinding. So yeah, I'm pretty certain rewinding counts as too much noise.

Haven't seen anyone indicate a direction, so I'll state that I found it easier to control the sound level and keep the key from dropping by primarily rotating the stage counter-clockwise to keep the key on one level, moving the character to that level, then slowly rotating clockwise. Very slowly. Couldn't ever confirm if his feet scuffling made a difference, though, so I emphasize that it must be done slowly. >.>

I just upload a video guide of "Whisperer" achievement.
Hope it helps! :)

key falling over is too much sound you wanna tip it, then spin the other way to cradle its fall

Slider Achievement Guide?
Shadowspaz Feb 28, 2013 @ 10:44am
Slider was a tedious one... You'll want to switch the menace with the player, as usual (drop the player to the door, the menace to the vortex, player to the button, menace to the door, player to vortex, menace to button), then start rotating the map counter-clockwise, so that you'll slide from left to right through the veil. Each time you slide through it, just keep holding the same rotation, and, bit by bit, you'll orient the menace properly.
Eventually, rotating the same direction won't work anymore, so I ended up switching the direction in which I slide through the veil, but keeping the rotation inside the veil the same. Once I had rotated the menace's gravity to be roughly 90-degrees different from the players, I switched them back (player to vortex, menace to button, button to door, menace to vortex, player to button), and from there, positioning both the player and the menace was easy.

Does anyone have an alternate solution that doesn't involve rotating the menace's gravity bit by bit, by sliding through the veil?
